Hearing Class - Intuition Training

What happens when you get lost within a sound? Hearing class is unique experience that
awakens your ears and reconnects you to your intuition, using sound as the medium.

No musical talent or experience needed.

Scientific Background:
This class uses experiential learning theory and improv to invite you to experience the things
you hear (and the sounds you make) in unique ways. It is based on the principle of
entrainment, a discovery made in 1665 by Christiaan Huygens, a Dutch Mathematician,
inventor of the pendulum clock. Huygens noticed that two pendulum clocks, neighbors on a
wall, swing side by side, in perfect synchronization. How? It seems to have something in
common with fireflies lighting, serendipity, and brain waves buzzing. But in this class we won't
talk much about that. We'll just crunch bags, crumble newspapers, and listen.
